内容摘要：

The weak Galerkin FEM is an efficient numerical technique for solving partial differential equations. It was first introduced and analyzed for second order elliptic equations and further applied to several other model equations, such as the Biharmonic equations, Brinkman equations, the interface problem of PDEs to demonstrate its power and efficiency as an emerging new numerical method.

主讲人介绍：

教授、博士生导师。1999年本科毕业于吉林大学数学系，2004年获得吉林大学计算数学博士学位。现任吉林大学数学学院党委书记、院长兼公共数学中心主任，吉林国家应用数学中心主任，吉林省运筹学会理事长等职务。主要从事非标准有限元方法及相关软件平台的开发等研究工作，在包括计算数学领域的重要期刊《SIAM J Numerical Analysis》、《Mathematics of Computation》、《SIAM J Scientific Computing》等上发表学术论文60余篇。主持及完成基金委重大研究计划重点项目等7项国家级项目，担任AMC、DCDS-B、CMR等期刊编委。获2021年中国青年女科学家奖、2020年中国青年科技奖、2019年中国数学会计算数学分会青年创新奖项，入选国家级高层次人才、国家“百千万人才”工程、长江学者奖励计划（青年）、宝钢教育优秀教师奖等奖励，国务院学科评议组成员（第八届）。
